Revoltech Sanada Yukimura Part 2

Combo trident!

An introduction on Revoltech Yamaguchi Sengoku Basara Sanada Yukimura's weapons and accessories:

All items from the top layer of the content.

Option face part with eyes gazing to the right will be kind of a limitation to certain poses, since you can show him looking to his left side with this face part (obviously) ^^;

Generic pair of option hand units for holding his tridents.

RevolChip worth 10 points.

Apart from the shininess of the plated treatment, the design on the cross guard is pretty nice as well.

RevolContainer that is only good for smaller items.

You can definitely forget the intention of storing the trident blade parts inside the container. ^^;

Items from the bottom layer of the content.

The red head band tail and hair part do not come off easily from the plastic tray, so caution is required to not break any of them.

Attaching the parts to the head.

A slot on the sole connects to the effect display base, and corresponding to Sanada's color, the base is red.

The largest accessories: 3 poles for the tridents.

Very accurately painted details on the body of the pole.

Individual trident is 18.5cm in length each.

Combined trident is 30cm in length.
A massive weapon!

Revoltech Date Masamune Part 1

Plenty of katana

Introduction of Revoltech Yamaguchi Sengoku Basara No. 79 Date Masamune this time.

Date Masamune is quite crazy in terms of design in my opinion because of his ability to wield 6 katanas in one go. ^^ He and Vardant from "Linebarrel of Iron" would make good friends no doubt XD. Not only do they share the same color scheme of blue, both of them seem to have the same idea that one katana in combat is simply not enough ^^

A look at Date Masamune in "Sengoku Basara 3", which was a PS3 release.

Video clip is from Youtube. Follow this link to the website if you can't see anything.

Plenty of 6-katana splashing here and there ^^

Date Masamune is voiced by Kazuya Nakai (中井和哉), who also voiced for Witz, the pilot of Gundam Air Master from "Gundam X". It's quite easy to spot him when Date is speaking slowly in the game play video, way easier to identify as compared to Sanada Yukimura/Kira Yamato that is XD

In terms of representation of the actual historical figure, his missing eye and samurai helmet with a crescent-moon on it are faithfully realized. The special treatment for the first batch release of Revoltech Date Masamune is the plated gold crescent moon on his helmet, which makes it stand out even more as his iconic feature. His banner color however, is actually black, not blue ("Date Masamune's army is recognized by its black armor and golden headgear." - Wikipedia).

Date's signature tri-katana hand units can be seen clearly through the box windows.

Promotional band at the bottom of the box.

Images of Date Masamune at the bottom left corner and top portion of the box.

RevolChip.

Very generic design for both sides and bottom portion of the box.

Introduction of the figure and content behind the box.

Box open.

Content.

Just like Sanada Yukimura, 2 layers of content for Date Masamune.

Top layer contains the figure itself, tri-katana hand units, tri-katana in sheath and RevolChip.

Option face part and hand units are placed in a smaller separate tray.

Separate katanas and effect display base on the bottom layer.

Some tiny strings binding the swords to the plastic trays.

Some other items on the back of the tray.

Apart from the promotional leaftlet and display stand, the RevolContainer is placed on the back - lack of space on the top layer no doubt.
