MG Gundam Mk. II Ver. 2.0 Part 13

Waist or no waist, there can always be action

First batch of MG Gundam Mk. II Ver. 2.0's action poses after completing the kit last night. ^^

The Hyper Bazooka is my preferred weapon for Gundam Mk. II. The accurate color separation makes it a lot more attractive than the first release version, while the new handle gives it a much needed flexible control. ^^

One of the action poses shown on the side of the box.

The well designed elbow articulation is fully demonstrated through the nice beam saber drawing pose - another highly promoted pose when the kit was first announced. ^^

With the generic Gunpla stand.

In before the real comparison with the first release version, I have to say that the broader shoulder noted in the previous posting doesn't just give the Gundam a more balanced look, the design does help in creating more room between the shoulder block and the head to allow the latter to turn easily even when the Vulcan Pod is on. That's definitely an improvement there, as compared to the smaller-sized HGUC version as well, which I have the black Titans' version.

The lack of a waist joint is somewhat unfortunate, but all other joints work really well, and easily too to create some very nice-looking action poses for this kit. ^^

More action poses in the next posting. ^^

FYI, Bandai addressed the lack of waist joint with the blue Mk. II, so all the blue Mk.II and the later batches of white Mk.II can rotate at the waist.
