S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin Part 3

Don't forget the "grunt" details

Focusing solely on Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form from S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin set this time, after introducing the entire set's option parts and accessories in the previous posting. ^^

[Sword]

[Legs]

The vertical hinge of the wrist peg is mighty useful to show Kamen Rider Den-O holding his sword in an angled position that is natural-looking. For a plain standing pose like this, it's not necessary for him to exercise his hot-bloodiness with a more straightened and aggressive-looking pose for the sword just as yet. ^^

The base figure (the entire figure but with the head and body armor excluded) is the same as that on Kamen Rider Gaoh from S.I.C. Vol. 48 Kamen Rider Gaoh & Kintaros Imagin set. While it's simple-looking, there are definitely more details to be seen as compared its original design from the show. ^^ Also, having white as the base figure's predominant color helps to highlight some of the details as well. In comparison, Kamen Rider Gaoh's suit and armors in different shades of gold project an overall consistent "luxurious" look, which is supported by the base figure's details. In other words, the base figure's details work well to fit into Kamen Rider Gaoh's image, but they themselves don't get as much highlight as their equivalence on Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form. ^^;

With reimagined sculpt details and proportion design for the main armors, the helmet, chest and back armors look very impressive on the figure. ^^ The curvy sculpted lines on the chest made good use of the large, almost blank panels on that area to show off some unique details. Complimented by the metallic red paint scheme of the armors, those details get a full frontal show off. ^^

Like Kamen Rider Gaoh again, the die-cast parts on this figure are just the bracelets and shin armors. As you will see in the next posting when the focus shifts to Momotaros Imagin, those parts are actually the only ones to be found in this S.I.C. set.
