Nendoroid Saber: Super Movable Edition Part 3

Bad detailing? Just action out the problem

More images of Nendoroid Saber: Super Movable Edition after the introduction on her accessories in the previous posting. ^^

Closeups on the details:

[Body]

[Legs]

[Arms]

[Excalibur]

As expected of Nendoroid figures, this is a very adorable representation of Saber. ^^ The default smiling expression on the figure is very well done in depicting the confident of the character, but with a sense of cuteness inserted as well. ^^ When I look at the face design, I always imagine the figure trying to say, "Don't mess with me or I'll bite you!" XD It must be her deformed Nendoroid scale that's contributing towards that funny image, "assisted" by those ridiculously large sharp teeth depicted on her hetare option face. XD

In terms of detailing, there are areas which seem somewhat disappointing to me. ^^; Quite a bit of spilled paint can be observed on the golden stripes around the skirt pieces, while some of the edges are not painted. ^^; It might be my nitpick on the figure's minor details, but when compared to the even more minute details on Excalibur, Caliburn, and their respective scabbards, which are really well done, the paint issue with the skirt's stripes seems to have been magnified. ^^;

Some missing/uneven paint application on the edges of the side skirt pieces. ^^;

Then again, the improved posability of the figure thanks to her Super Movable articulation design should allow for more appreciation on Saber's action poses in Nendoroid format instead of (focusing on) the figure's minute details, so in a way, the unique feature of the figure is helping to "reduce" the impact of her detailing flaws. ^^ It's most likely an unintentional setting, but it's pretty helpful anyway. ^^

A look at the articulation design and some action poses of this Nendoroid figure in the next posting. ^^
