Keropla God Keron Part 50

"Keroro Shoutai, transform!"

After the previous posting, Part 2 of the last stage of my review on Keropla God Keron will be about transforming the individual Robo Mk-IIs into their designated components on the final combiner robot. ^^

Since they were not explicitly shown in their individual reviews, this will be the first time the third form (after robot, and alternate modes) is configured for the individual Robo Mk-IIs. ^^

[Keroro Robo Mk-II → Head]

The rifle, and shield need to be detached first.

From the side, the arms are bent upward for 90 degrees at shoulder level.

On the back, the fists are rotated so that the armors are upward-facing.
This is just to (weakly) hide the look of the fists behind God Keron when the robot is completed I suppose. ^^;

The side thruster on each leg is flipped around to the top.

The feet are bent using its ankle joint until their heels sit retracted inside the rear ankle guard.

By adjusting their hips and knees, the legs are bent upward until they are somewhat tucked behind the main body.
This step is exactly the same as the leg transformation in Keroro Robo Mk-II's alternate mode configuration, minus the need to tilt the entire lower body upward.

There's no tab or lock to secure the hip blocks, so I'm following the instruction manual very closely to get them into their intended positions.

Transformation done for Keroro Robo Mk-II. ^^

[Tamama Robo Mk-II → Left arm]

The right shoulder is hinged to the back of the body for 180 degrees. The right forearm (the ice-cream drill XD) is bent upward for 90 degrees as well.

For the left arm, the shoulder is hinged 90 degrees to the back first, the shoulder joint is then slid inward so that the edge of the shoulder block is touching the back.

The left forearm (the lollipop disc saw XD) is straightened, with its elbow joint facing forward.

Using the thigh swivel, the legs are rotated until their knees are facing outward. The small claws in front of the feet are flipped outward.

The feet are bent downward for 90 degrees, until the heels are fitted into their dedicated square spaces behind the legs.

With the interlocking tabs and slots behind them to secure the connection, the two legs are snapped together.

[Giroro Robo Mk-II → Right arm]

The transformation design is quite similar to that of Tamama Robo Mk-II, especially the arms.

The left shoulder is hinged to the back of the body for 180 degrees. The left forearm, and shoulder top cannon turret are collapsed upward, and downward respectively.

The right shoulder is hinged 90 degrees to the back first, the shoulder joint is then slid inward so that the edge of the shoulder block is touching the back. The shoulder top cannon turret is bent downward.

The lower body is rotated around.

Using their "ankle" joints, the caterpillar tracks are folded upward from the front for 90 degrees.

The hip joints are bent downward on either side of the model. Then, by using their straight pegs, the joints are rotated so that the hinges are facing forward. The legs would have to be adjusted accordingly as well.
The hip joints now form God Keron's right elbow. ^^

With the interlocking tabs and slots behind them to secure the connection, the two legs are snapped together.

The track covers are tilted around to form a pair of clamps. ^^

Giroro Robo Mk-II's transformation is complete. ^^

[Kururu Robo Mk-II → Right leg, and waist]

From its floating mode, the legs are straightened, and the feet adjusted to allow the model to stand on the surface.

Next, the thighs are swiveled around the hip blocks so that their hinges are facing outward.

Using the hinge joints made available from the previous step, the legs are swung upward from the side for 90 degrees.

The hip blocks are bent downward, which helps to push the two legs together.

By bending the thigh swivels and ankle hinges at the same time, the upper body is pushed downward to fill in some of the gaps, giving the entire leg a more solid look.

Doku Denpa Unit is rotated to the left side of the model.
The radar disc is then detached from its connector.

Not mentioned in the manual, the joints between the weapon segments can be adjusted to have the hinges facing forward. "Theoretically", this creates hip joints that would allow God Keron to move its legs forward/backward.

The detached radar disc is pegged onto a dedicated connector behind what's now God Keron's waist unit.

All done for Kururu Robo Mk-II's transformation. ^^

[Dororo Robo Mk-II → Left leg]

The katana, and shield need to be detached first.

The legs are bent upward via the peg that connects the hips to the side skirt armor.

Using the ball-type hip joints, the legs are rotated around so that the feet are facing outward.

The side skirt armors are rotated downward, and snapped together.
On the back, the feet would need to be tilted at their ankle level to make sure they do not collide with the surface the legs are on.

The shoulders are pulled outward via their "hidden joints". ^^

The arms are flipped to the back to have them tucked behind the main body.

The large thruster (?) behind the mini figure of Dororo is straightened to form God Keron's left thigh.

Completed Dororo Robo Mk-II's transformation. ^^

[Others]

The shields of Keroro Robo Mk-II and Dororo Robo Mk-II will form God Keron's chest plate.

The curved groove on top of Dororo Robo Mk-II's shield allows it to be tabbed to the bottom of the cap on Keroro Robo Mk-II's shield.

Done for the chest plate.

Keroro Robo Mk-II's rifle and Dororo Robo Mk-II's katana will form a lackluster combo weapon for God Keron.

As shown in the previous image, the slot on the katana's crossguard corresponds to a peg on the side of the rifle to secure the connection.

Very simple, but very uninspiring design for the combined weapon I would say. ^^;
Instead of having a real combo weapon for God Keron, this rifle-sword feels like it's there because there's no more leftover parts from the five mecha to get something better. ^^; I suppose that's also why the beam sabers are included as extra weapons for this bundled set. ^^;

Length of the rifle-sword: 11cm.

The super cumbersome but fun gattai to form God Keron will be up next. ^^
