The "soldier class mass production type" (XD) Xenomorph variation from James Cameron's "Aliens" (1986). Before going into the details, the "armored" look of the top of its head, which is no longer semi-translucent in color is the most obvious difference between this second Alien design and the original one. Suffice to say, the box art clearly indicates how this figure managed to capture that design aesthetic. ^^
Front view of the box.
Product name and logo of "Aliens", the 1986 movie this action figure is based upon.
A brief introduction of the figure on the front sleeve band.
Standard Revoltech design style for the sides, top and bottom of the box.
Previews of new and upcoming Revoltech releases (2010) can be seen on the sleeve band on the right hand side of the box.
Introduction of the figure on the back of the box.
More preview of other Revoltech releases on the sleeve band on the back of the box.
Comparison with Alien Queen's box.
While Alien Queen obviously has a much thicker box to accommodate the figure's size, the design style between the packages is maintained.
As usual, the hard cover allows the package to be opened like a book.
Introduction of the character and "Aliens" (1986) behind the front cover.
The figure itself and most all its accessories can be seen clearly through the front window.
Box open.
Box content. Everything fit on one plastic tray.
With the tray cover removed.
Closeups on the content.
Rear view of the plastic tray.
A promo booklet introducing the Sci-fi Revoltech series is included.
The booklet is identical to that included for Jason Voorhees, the last Sci-fi Revoltech figure reviewed before Alien Warrior. I've seen it in a couple other sets as well.
A straight out-of-box display of Alien Warrior.
The strings used to tie the figure down onto the tray.
Will move on to the introduction of Alien Queen, the other figure in this double feature review in the next posting. ^^
