Because receiving your parcels one by one is too easy and mainstream

Went to a courier service outlet yesterday morning to pick up parcels containing my purchases that I asked the vendors to withhold shipment for many many months. ^^ Four boxes came in - two really large ones and another two smaller ones. The vendors were kind enough to inform me of the boxes' dimensions, so I was prepared before going to the courier's office. Still, bringing the boxes back was a challenge. ^^;

I was ready to slow and get my stuff in two trips, but luckily, my car is amazing in the storage department. ^^

The rear seats can be collapsed to let the box be slid through the trunk.
The top cover can be removed as well actually, but I didn't find that to be necessary when loading the box.

BB Senshi Sangokuden Shin Enjutsu Zssa Part 5

New method, new paint

After silver and gun metal in the previous posting, another important color needed by BB Senshi Sangokuden Shin Enjutsu Zssa, one which is much harder to paint will be featured in this batch of work. ^^

Parts featuring details to be painted in metallic green.

BB Senshi Sangokuden Shin Enjutsu Zssa Part 4

No more gold, still very shiny

Another round of work on on BB Senshi Sangokuden Shin Enjutsu Zssa after the previous posting. ^^

Gold is obviously not needed anymore after the color was featured heavily in the previous posting, but the other paint work I have in mind for this batch of work still require bright and shiny colors. ^^

Seven parts to be painted silver.

The backpack is an optional component added to the list - the beak/antenna sticking out on top of it looks like a blade, and will be painted like one. ^^

BB Senshi Sangokuden Shin Enjutsu Zssa Part 3

Grand glorious gold galore

Continuing with the work on BB Senshi Sangokuden Shin Enjutsu Zssa after the previous posting.

This is going to be a busy day for Gaia Metallic Color No. 122 Star Bright Gold, as most of the parts listed in the previous posting need to be painted gold to varying degree.

For the two rear skirt armor parts, the paint work starts with their edges on the back. Since their front side, where all the details are located, are not painted at the moment, the risk of ruining the paint work is zero. ^^

BB Senshi Sangokuden Shin Enjutsu Zssa Part 2

New lines before the golden storm

Starting to work on BB Senshi Sangokuden Shin Enjutsu Zssa after the introduction in the previous posting. ^^

The minor panel lining work on Hisenkon (飛旋棍) in the previous posting can't really be counted as the start I suppose. ^^

A look at the parts to be painted and the colors they need:

Body and skirt armors: Gold, metallic green, black and red.

This is just my second kit from Shin line for this Gunpla series, with Koshin Gyan being the first one, even though I have yet to build that kit at this moment. ^^

Sci-fi Revoltech T-Rex Part 1

The odd one in a long time

The first Sci-fi Revoltech review of the year is coincidently the first for the Revoltech series altogether. ^^;

Due to my slow speed in doing my reviews, the entire franchise seems to have been negelcted on my blog. ^^;

Childhood Nostalgia 6: Kinos Toy Box

 Time  Toy capsules from the 80s

Even though this is Part 6 of the "Childhood Nostalgia" series on my blog, the previous one, Part 5 was posted three years ago, in July 2012 - I had to check through the list of posting myself to find out the exact numbering. ^^ It's definitely not something I talk about very often, and as a matter of fact, if not for a chance encounter yesterday evening, I would never thought of reviving the series as well. ^^

Tora, Ding Dang and JoJo snacks from Kinos. ^^ I saw them on the shelves of a supermarket I visited yesterday evening, and couldn't quite believe they were still making them. XD When I stopped going back in time reminiscing about seeing the TV commercials for these snack boxes on TV two decades ago, I knew I just had to buy a few to see what/how they are today. ^^

Sunday Movie Theater: Rouge 胭脂扣 (1988)

Heartbreakingly beautiful

A break from the regular review series to have a visit to the July edition of Sunday Movie Theater. ^^

Movie poster is from IMDB.

A ghost story this time, but one that involves very little horror like "Outpost" (2008). Instead, it's more of a tragic romance story with the supernatural as a minor storytelling device. ^^

S.H. Figuarts Garo Part 1

Shiny, but not that shiny

From a fierce-looking Zoids plamo kit to a fierce-looking action figure this time. ^^

As with all of my reviews nowadays, this is also something in my collection that seems to have been neglected after its purchase. ^^; This S.H. Figuarts Garo for example, has been sitting somewhere in my room for more than three years now, after I got it in July 2011.

Doing long-overdue reviews has very much become the norm on my blog, so much so it's now meaningless to be pointed out I think. ^^;

Still, overdue reviews are never a problem for me, since the awesomeness of those collectibles remained unchanged between the moment I purchased them, and when I finally decide to unpack them out for review. ^^
