MG Sinanju Ver. Ka Part 31

Red hot Sinanju

More images of the just completed MG Sinanju Ver. Ka. ^^

Just for clarification, especially to those who just started reading this review series, the rocket bazooka connected to the beam rifle is not included with this MG. It's a limited kit that was bundled with Gundam Unicorn novel Vol. 8 "The Sky and the Stars" ("宇宙と惑星と"). See Part 20 for the introduction of that limited kit. ^^ The rocket bazooka was eventually included for the OVA version of Master Grade Sinanju, so it's entirely possible to realize the image of Sinanju posing with its rocket bazooka-equipped combined rifle without going through the trouble, and paying extra to get the limited kit. ^^

Upcoming Reviews for September

???

It has been more than a year since I last had a posting with the "???" label, here's one to preview the collectibles to be featured on the blog next month. ^^

As you can see from the images, the theme this time is black-and-white finishing on other effects. ^^ Also, the total number of completed review series for next month should be four, as the currently ongoing assembly and review of Master Grade Sinanju Ver. Ka would be done by next month as well. ^^

MG Sinanju Ver. Ka Part 30

Forgotten paint here, missing paint there

Continuing with the assembly of MG Sinanju Ver. Ka after the previous posting. ^^

MG Sinanju Ver. Ka Part 29

When red meets gray

Returning to the assembly of MG Sinanju Ver. Ka after a brief detour to review the gashapon figurine of Stella Loussier from MS Gundam Seed Heroines 5 in the previous two postings. ^^

It's time to armor up the big guy. ^^

All the inner frame components are detached first.

MS Gundam Seed Heroines 5 Part 6

Stella Loussier (Part 1)

With an overly long-winded review on S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form and Momotaros Imagin (XD), and a rather technical Gunpla assembly of MG Sinanju Ver. Ka dominating the majority of postings for this month, the lack of cutie and element of moe is quite depressing. XD

This review on Stella Loussier, the last figurine from MS Gundam Seed Heroines 5 gashpon set could serve as a nice getaway from all the red hot-bloodiness in the two aforementioned review series. ^^

MG Sinanju Ver. Ka Part 28

A skeletal preview of amazing poseability for a large-sized MG

Just because it's still in inner frame form doesn't mean it's not possible for MG Sinanju Ver. Ka to showcase its awesome articulation design. ^^

Besides Sinanju itself, I'm eager to try out the many weapons on the model kit, especially the rocket bazooka, and shield. I must see how those large-sized weapons would look on an equally huge Master Grade kit, now. ^^

MG Sinanju Ver. Ka Part 25

Weapon gimmick Part 2

Continuing with the assembly of MG Sinanju Ver. Ka's inner frame after the previous posting. ^^

MG Sinanju Ver. Ka Part 24

Multi-purpose palm tab

Done with the weapons in the previous posting, it's time to move on to the actual model of MG Sinanju Ver. Ka. ^^

Since it's a Master Grade kit, with a full inner frame featuring quite a bit of my own extra effort to enhance the different components' details, ^^ the work on the kit's inner frame will be separated from its armors. ^^

Inner frame parts for the right arm.

MG Sinanju Ver. Ka Part 23

Glorious golden goodness

Continuing with the assembly of MG Sinanju Ver. Ka, with the progress still on its weapons after the previous posting. ^^

Starting with the simplest on the armament list: the beam sabers. ^^

Four one-piece parts for the pair of beam sabers.

Random (101)

怨念之购

Normally I'm very excited when anticipating my pre-order to arrive. ^^ Since I don't live next to Mr. Japan, I usually get whatever new stuff he puts out much later than folks who do live closer to him. XD For that matter, there are usually tons of reviews on those new releases posted on the Internet long before I received the same item that I pre-ordered for. While reading those reviews seems like looking at movie spoilers sometimes, it doesn't actively diminish my interest for those new items. I buy what I like because I like them, not to get them faster than others. Also, I suppose I'm very used to seeing others playing with their toys before getting mine after all these years that I no longer care. ^^

However, as they say, there's always an exception to the rule. ^^; For breaking that usual enthusiasm that I have for my pre-orders, this model kit will forever be the first item that I think of: Kotobukiya's 1/144 scale Super Robot Wars OG Original Generations Gesterben Kwai [Serena] ^^;

MG Sinanju Ver. Ka Part 22

Rifle and bazooka combo fun

Finally, after yet another long delay between the completion of its detailing work, I'm returning to complete this Gunpla: Master Grade Sinanju Ver. Ka. ^^

Like the detailing work I did on the kit, which took up half of January to complete, I'm pretty sure this final assembly is going to be very fun, especially since this kit is one of my picks as the best Master Grade releases from Bandai. ^^

Woodelix Rider Machine Part 3

HardBoilder

Another Kamen Rider-related posting after the end of the review series on S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin, but this one is about a much smaller-sized figure. ^^

The third figure from Woodelix Rider Machine shokugan set, after V-Jet, and Battle Hopper. ^^

As previewed in the previous posting, a comparison between S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin and Vol. 48 Kamen Rider Gaoh & Kintaros Imagin is set to be the closing topic of this review series. ^^

S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin Part 10

Kamen Rider abuse!

The Plat Form configuration is a huge highlight of this S.I.C. set, at least in my opinion, because it allows Kamen Rider Den-O to be paired with Momotaros Imagin without violating the law of physics in that universe. XD

And when those two meets, all kinds of goofy shenanigans ensue. ^^

Training session with Momotaros Imagin ^^

S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin Part 9

Armored Plat Form

After focusing on the two figures in S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin set all this while, it's time to finally reveal the last feature of this S.I.C. set: the Plat Form for the Kamen Rider figure. ^^

Six special parts for the Plat Form configuration.

They are not exactly too special or unique actually. ^^;

S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin Part 8

Thumbs-up? I do thumbs-up for nobody

Tons of fun with S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form and Momotaros Imagin, with this posting being the third batch of action poses featuring these two action figures. ^^

Random (100)

Impulse decision trumps all indecision

Note: Nothing extravagant about the 100th posting in the Random series, since I have absolutely no idea about anything special to do about it. XD

Just got myself a new Transformers figure recently. ^^

Released in April 2013, this is Hasbro's Transformers Generations Thrilling 30 Voyager Class Autobot Springer. ^^ Along with its Sandstorm variant, I think this version of Springer is one of the best Transformers designs from Hasbro in a long while, and based on many reviews I had read before getting mine, many Transformers fans have the same opinion as well. ^^ Before eventually getting Springer, I actually struggled for a while deciding between him and Sandstorm. ^^; I like Springer's more conventional armored vehicle design, as opposed to Sandstorm's dune buggy alternate mode which gives its robot form two huge wheels on its backpack. I also like the clever design of Springer's sword, which turns into its helicopter blades. It's a weapon that is not available on Sandstorm. Then again, I like Sandstorm's orange on dark yellow color scheme much more than Springer's highlighter green on bright yellow scheme. There are great qualities on either version that I find really difficult to choose. ^^;

There's actually a perfect blend of the two versions: Takara Tomy's Transformers Cloud Hot Rodimus. It's basically Springer with Hot Rod's paint scheme. ^^ Unfortunately for me, and folks outside Japan, it's a Takara Tomy Mall limited item. ^^;

My own indecision was the main reason I skipped over this figure a couple of times when it was made available on local hobby webstores that I frequently visit for Transformers items, but when I saw the figure on the shelves at the toy division of a departmental store recently, and holding the box in my hands, I said to myself, "Forget it, I'm getting this." XD That instance of impulse decision pretty much ended an extended period of pondering over the two versions, which is good since I don't have to carry on arguing with myself until Springer is out of stock. ^^; Then again, giving a win to toy-purchasing impulse always feels like a dangerous business to me. ^^;

S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin Part 5

Two of a kind

An introduction of S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form and Momotaros Imagin after the previous posting. ^^

This should be the first time in which two figures' articulation design is covered in a single posting I believe, but since they are very similar to one another in that aspect, with just a few minor differences, I don't see the need to go beyond one posting for them. ^^

S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin Part 4

Glossy red, fiery red

An entire posting of images dedicated to Momotaros Imagin from S.I.C. Vol. 42 Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form & Momotaros Imagin set this time, after the focus on Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form in the previous posting. ^^
