Humable Model Gundam RX-78-2 Part 2

Do the cha-cha like a sissy girl

Being away from Ex for a long time already, and the last posting doesn't really count because those pictures are not mine ^^;

Being very busy with work recently, and any blogging time I had was spent on the main blog instead because of all the big news splashing out of the the 49th All Japan Plamodel Radicon Show. ^^; I was thinking of getting a really good laugh the other night, and yes indeed, a not-so-old movie really cracked me up XD

Some of the lines from the movie still lingers in my head, including the tagline above. Do you know which movie it's from? ^^

Well, anyway, this posting is supposed to introduce the body unit and weapons of Banpresto's Humable Model Gundam RX-78-2, in case you're wondering if this is going to be labeled under "Movies and music" XD

So, make no mistake, I dare not provoke Gundam RX-78-2 by calling him a sissy, but Banpresto's super-flexible ball joints really allow you to pose this prize item in many funny action if you want to XD

Back to the very old-school anime design, which I don't really like actually. ^^; But the design really gives a human-like feel to entire figure.

Two point joint for the neck allows the head to be adjusted to a near mechanical-impossible degree ^^;

Bending the body - back, forth, left, right with ease, in very wide angle as well.

The combo of all those joints give you some very dramatic action poses of the body alone. ^^

the ball-type joint of the waist

Ball-type joint for the pelvis as you can see.

Basic weapons: shield and beam rifle. Unfortunately for the beam rifle, the supporting handle is non-movable. ^^; Some of the classic action poses of Gundam RX-78-2 from posters and illustration are instantly off the list ^^;

Comes with left and right hand unit to carry the beam rifle. This type of hand unit is also used for the beam saber (not included actually).

Targeting sensor of the rifle painted accurately.

The rack to hook the shield onto either the forearm or the backpack.

While the beam saber and other weapons like the bazooka and hammer are not included. The scale is just right for it to borrow some from the HGUC version. ^^ Will be having new images of such feature in future postings.

And I hope that won't be too long from now. ^^;

I like the classic design actually. And with that articulation, you can try some of those illogical poses that the first series has. XD

Are you gonna panel line this Gundam Figure or will you leave it as it is, being already 'completed' straight out of the box?

Anyways, this model design isn't that much tempting to me, (I can live with the plain 2.0, but this one is completly off my taste), although the posability might be the main selling point for this one

Hm is the quote from Bruce Almighty?

The double joint for the head is a bit unusual. Ariticulations seem rather good though, so I'll be looking forward to see some crazy poses from you XD

Btw I've spotted the hole at the pelvis which has a screw in it. Is it big enough to fit a peg from the gunpla action base?

Will definitely try out some crazy poses. Too bad the option hand units are a little less expressive in showing off some of the poses I have in mind ^^;

I'll keep my panel-liner off these action figures unless there are places I want to correct, since there's a lot of panel-lining to be done on Gunplas already. ^^

Bingo! Yatzi! Bing Bing Bing Bing Bing Bing! XD Yes, it's from "Bruce Almighty"

The hole is a little too shallow for the connector from Action Display Base 2 to fit in, but there's one clip type connector that can fit into that joint perfectly.
