From one Gundam item to another, ^^ after the completion of the work on HGUC Kampfer, I'm opening up the third pack from the Gundam Construction Scene (MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM ガンダム大地に建つ) gashapon set. ^^
Front view of the pack.
Preview of the mini diorama, and the components from this pack that will be used on the statue.
The designated color for this pack is red.
Very simple design on all sides of the box.
Preview of the whole set, and the Gundam statue on the back of the box.
Box open.
Content.
Pack number on the side flap.
Front, and rear views of the plastic bag containing the figure parts.
The repeated instruction sheet.
The box is flattened, with its flaps cut off for easier storage.
All the parts removed from the plastic bag shown earlier on.
The statue's torso is the biggest single component from the set so far ^^
Closeups on the details.
The right foot of the statue.
The left one was included with the previously reviewed second set.
Like its left counterpart, the right foot can be separated.
The letter "R" can be seen molded inside either foot part.
Three crane parts to be connected to the torso unit.
Closeups on the details.
The neck joint is separated from the torso.
Note the tilted angle of the square peg on top the neck joint. It's deliberately so for the head to be shown looking to the statue's left hand side.
Unlike the previous two, a pair of runners instead of just one are included for this third pack: one containing parts for the human figurines, while the other one holds the two backpack thrusters.
Rear view of the runners.
The figurines are removed from the runner.
The bottom of the figurines' bases are labelled with their pack number using a black marker. ^^
Comparison between some of the parts and a 10-cent coin to show off their tiny size better.
The display base.
Despite having the same size, there are much more molded details on top this particular base as compared to the one in the first set. ^^
Size of the base: 5.5cm by 5.5cm.
Rear view of the base.
Besides the usual company and copyright info, a large "3" is molded on the underside.
The thrusters, and neck joint are assembled onto the backpack, and neck base respectively.
Assembling the crane set.
The pair of pegs from the fork hanger are squeezed past the edge of the crane arms for the parts to be connected.
Once connected, the fork hanger can be hinged all the way to the back of the crane arms, even though that articulation isn't required at all for the completed diorama.
The crane arm is pegged into the separate base piece to complete the entire assembly.
Without any joint between the two parts, no hinge movement is possible with the crane arm.
A look at the overall assembly of the diorama in the next posting. ^^
