BB Senshi Sangokuden Gotaitei Sonken Gundam Korinpaku Part 5

Metallic blue stripes

Working on the last few parts of BB Senshi Sangokuden Gotaitei Sonken Gundam Korinpaku after the previous posting. ^^

The character's family name on the forehead is painted gold using Gundam Marker.

(Left) With excessive paint cleaned off using cotton swap soaked with paint thinner.
(Right) With panel lines added. Then again, the painted surname doesn't look too outstanding with so much white area around it. ^^;

Not for Sonken Gundam, but Sonsaku Physalis's appearance in the comic shows the forehead piece with a more outstanding design.

The forehead piece is repainted using Gundam Marker Gold, with the name painted black using normal panel liner.

The face mask parts for Sonken Gundam and Sonken Zephyranthes are panel lined.

While they look just the same on the runner, panel lines applied to the parts reveal some differences in terms of their molded details.

Panel lines and minor paint work on some of the other head parts.

The border between the rear head part and face mask is painted black using normal marker.

The three tiger head helmet parts which are all molded in plain white will require some serious paint work to realize their intended colors, as shown on the box side image. ^^;

Painted the stripes directly using Gundam Marker Metallic Blue from BB Senshi Sangokuden set.

With excessive paint cleaned off using cotton swap soaked with paint thinner.

Closeups on the details.

The few smaller areas, including the nose are painted and treated as well.

With panel lines added to the parts - anywhere except the stripes themselves. ^^
That's something I remind myself of after Part 3. ^^;

The details in front and behind the helmet part is panel lined.

Done for the three helmet parts. ^^

(Left) Panel lines added to the tiger's tail, which doubles as the braid on Gotaitei Sonken Gundam.
(Right) The box side image shows the diamond at the end of the tail to be painted in metallic blue.

(Left) Painted the diamond using Gundam Marker Metallic Blue.
(Right) Excessive paint on the edge of the part is scratched away using a knife.

All done for the tail. ^^

Looking back, the painting and panel lining of the tiger head helmet part is actually very enjoyable, despite the work load. ^^ The line details are intricate-looking, and the design genuinely looks like a tiger head. ^^ I most certainly hope that it would look just as good on the actual model when I assemble it in the future. ^^

You impress with your techniques! Would the same techniques be applied to something like this?

I plan to spray her in tamiya pearl white, and have the trimmings of the skirt and armor, metallic blue. Would Gundam marker be able to work for that?
