1/100 Gundam Astraea Part 3

Forced mecha details

More paint work to be done 1/100 Gundam Astraea after the previous posting. ^^

The shoulder armor parts have extensive molded line details, but they are not obvious due to the fact that everything is molded in white. ^^;

(Left) Panel lined the edge between the mecha details and outer rim portion to separate areas to be painted from the white armor.
(Right) Painted the mecha details portion using Tamiya Color Acrylic Paint Mini XF-53 Neutral Grey. This bottle paint was last used on the body armor parts of MG Gundam AGE-1 Normal.

The rear face of all the parts are painted with the same paint as well.

Excessive paint on the part's surface is scratched away using a knife.

Panel lines are added when the paint has dried.

The box-like details and dots on the parts are painted using Pilot Super Color Silver Extra Fine and normal silver pen respectively.

Just simple panel lining applied to the shoulder armors' top covers and joint parts.

All of the waist parts.

Panel lining for the various parts.

As with the same component on Gundam Exia, the beam saber/dagger mount rack on the rear skirt armor is separated.
Unlike Gundam Exia, having separate mount racks on either side of the rear skirt armor won't be of much use since the whole is going to be fixed anyway. ^^;

Parts of the shield and Proto GN Sword.

(Left) A large foil sticker is included for the top face of Proto GN Sword.
(Right) The extensive molded details on the rear face of the two sword cover parts should be panel lined

(Left) Painted the sword cover's top side using Gundam Marker Gray.
(Right) Since the interior of the sheath would be exposed when the sword is flipped outward, some part inside is painted as well.

Panel lines added to the two parts, as well as the weapon's connector and handle.

Panel lines for the shield parts.

Will continue the work with detailing the arm and leg parts of 1/100 Gundam Astraea next, which I expect to be very similar to the experience from working on Gundam Exia back in December 2010. ^^
