BB Senshi Sangokuden Kibutei Sousou Gundam, Joko Serpent, Sohi Gundam Set Part 12

The emperor's old clothes

Finishing up with Sousou Gundam from BB Senshi Sangokuden Kibutei Sousou Gundam, Joko Serpent, Sohi Gundam Set after the last posting. ^^

All armor components of Sousou Gundam.

The silver portion of the forearm armors are from foil stickers.

A pair of large armors that makes the feet look like horse hooves in my opinion XD

One of the two manifestations of Sousou Gundam's might: his "Collar Armor of Power". ^^
The armor itself as a one-piece curvy part is pretty impressive in its own right.

Using the special shiny foil stickers from this box set for the interior of Sousou Gundam's cape/wing pieces, which are what I consider to be the second manifestation of the character's power as mentioned above. ^^

Bling-bling effect for the cape/wings. ^^

Bright glossy red on the outside, shiny sparkling effect on the inside for Sousou Gundam's cape/wings.

While it isn't as shiny as I hope it would be, the silver paint of the jewel beneath the clear red part does give it a different color from the V-Fin's glossy gold.

The completed helmet of Sousou Gundam.

All done for Sousou Gundam. ^^

Closeups on the details:

Besides having them mounting behind the shoulder armors, the cape piece can be pegged onto Sousou Gundam's back, which is the more "standard" configuration actually. ^^;
I actually like how the sparkling effect of the stickers stand out more in the front view of the model when the cape pieces are behind the shoulder armors. ^^

Sousou Gundam with Enkotsujin (炎骨刃).

Minus the shiny stickers applied to the cape pieces and glossy molded colors, this is actually the fifth release in the entire BB Senshi Sangokuden series. ^^ Part of the deal of being an old release is simplicity in gimmick, which is pretty obvious for Sousou Gundam as compared to the other kits in this box set. Apart from reassembly of the two capes pieces in different positions for Dai-Guren Zan pose or as shield pieces for the defence mode, there's not much to do with Sousou Gundam himself. ^^;

As compared to Sohi Gundam's weapon gimmicks and Joko Serpent's armor gimmicks, Sousou Gundam seems like he's severely lacking in playability. ^^;

Then again, I think that simplicity is exactly the most interesting feature of Sousou Gundam. No matter what kind of adversary he may face, be it a single challenger or an entire army, everything can be taken care of using his single sword, Enkotsujin. ^^ Such brute force and determination is exactly why Sousou Gundam rises to power in the world of BB Senshi Sangokuden much earlier than either Ryubi Gundam or Sonken Gundam.

Action poses of the three kits from this box set coming up in the next posting. ^^
