A whole posting dedicated to the work of BB Senshi Sangokuden Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam's head and helmet parts this time. ^^
The stripes around the forehead area on the helmet parts are painted using Gaia Metallic Color No. 122 Star Bright Gold.
The corresponding areas inside the helmet are painted as well so that the color would be seen in low angles. ^^
On either side of the helmet are clearly Vulcans, even though no special treatment for them is shown on the box side image.
(Left) The Vulcans are "recreated" using pin vise with 0.8mm drill bit. ^^
(Right) To give the Vulcan a really solid look, the hole drilled was all the way till the interior of the helmet part. ^^
The vents on either side of the helmet parts are painted using normal sharp-tip marker.
The top sensor needs no painting, since, as shown in the right image, the huge dragon headgear will completely hide it. ^^
Due to the way the parts are separated, the rear sensor can only be added after the helmet is assembled. ^^;
All done for the helmet parts. ^^
Panel lining for Koumei Nu Gundam's head parts.
Just black lines on white parts is a bit too dull for the character I suppose. ^^;
The forehead character and sensors in front and behind the head are painted using Gundam Marker Gold and Eye Green respectively.
With excessive paint scratched away and panel lines reapplied. ^^
Done for all the head parts. ^^
And all done for BB Senshi Sangokuden Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam as well. ^^
As mentioned in Part 3, the work is indeed much easier than that of Gotaitei Sonken Gundam Korinpaku, and I really like the paint result of Gaia Metallic Color No. 122 Star Bright Gold on all the parts in this kit as well. Hopefully, the overall result when the kit is assembled would be equally great as well. ^^
