BB Senshi Sangokuden Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam Part 3

More Nu Gundam elements

Continuing with the work on BB Senshi Sangokuden Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam after after the previous posting. ^^

Targeted edges of the wings are painted gold using Gaia Metallic Color No. 122 Star Bright Gold.

All the parts are panel lined when the paint has dried.

The fixed "bolts" on the wings are supposed to be black according to the box side image.

Painted the parts black using Gaia Color 022 Semi Gloss Black.

Those tight spots and narrow valleys between the feathers are really hard to panel line, but with Tamiya's Panel Line Accent Color (Black), the work can be done very easily. ^^

Quite a bit of paint work will be needed for the Nu Gundam-type Fin Funnel pieces.
I keep referencing the actual Gundam actor rather than the part's actual name in the world of BB Senshi Sangokuden since it's a lot easier that way, and those parts' (like the Fin Funnel in the images above) connection to the actual Gundam is just too obvious. ^^

Painted the "jewels" in the middle section of the Fin Funnels' top face gold (Gaia Metallic Color No. 122 Star Bright Gold) before adding black (Gaia Color 022 Semi Gloss Black) to their surrounding areas.

Pretty much the same paint application for the parts' bottom face.

With panel lines added to the two parts to complete the entire work.

The Nu-Gundam type chest armor will require some paint work as well.

The chest vents can be painted rather easily, but the neck area is a much bigger challenge. ^^;
Instead of trying to paint the bars and stripes as accurately as possible, I just painted them in regular manner and didn't concern myself too much about the spilled over paint.

Since the other color of the neck area is black (thankfully so), I just used my panel liner and normal sharp tip paint marker to cover up all the excessive paint. ^^

The abdomen area is painted red using Gundam Marker.

(Left) Panel line is added to the edge of the abdomen once the paint has dried.
(Right) The completed chest armor. ^^

The plain form's body is too dull-looking since white is its only color. Like Shusou Doven Wolf, the chest vents' interior is painted gold to give it a different look.

Excessive paint around the chest vents is scratched off using a knife.

Panel lines added to all the body parts, included the Nu Gundam HWS-type body armor which would only be used for the mode change. ^^

To make the whole body even more colorful (^^), the neck joint is painted gray using Gundam Marker, and the small sensor metallic green using normal pen.

Despite the three added colors, the entire body block still feel a bit bland to me. ^^;
Then again, I'm not going to deviate too much on the color scheme and run the risk of ruining the whole part. ^^;

Everything is running very smoothly so far. All the work feels a lot easier as compared to Gotaitei Sonken Gundam Korinpaku, which gives this kit a huge plus point on my book. ^^

Moving on to more paint and panel line work on this kit next. ^^
