More images of the just completed Kururu Robo Mk-II from Keropla God Keron.
The "ground" type display of Kururu Robo Mk-II, which is actually not his official form. ^^;
For its actual robot mode as shown in the manual, the legs must be folded forward and the grippers opened.
A slot beneath the body allows the kit to be mounted on top the same display stand used by the mini figure of Kururu.
The base is too short to really show off the legs, which are now technically its arms. ^^;
This is Kururu Robo Mk-II's official form. ^^

As shown on the box side image of this bundled kit, the default form of Kururu Robo Mk-II is called "Space Pod" mode (スペースポッドモード). ^^ With Doku Denpa Unit above the main body, it bears a close resemblance to RB-79 Ball from the Gundam universe, especially the special K-Type used by Shiro Amada in "MS Gundam: The 08th MS Team" because of their somewhat-close color scheme. ^^
Weird is one of the two immediate descriptors I could think of when looking at the completed model of Kururu Robo Mk-II. ^^ It's a robot with a huge radar on top, plus skinny legs with humongous feet. The evil grin on the robot's body seems to be challenging folks to figure out what the design is for, or to find another robot that looks somewhat like it. ^^; Unlike the previous three assembled kits of Keroro Robo Mk-II, Tamama Robo Mk-II and Giroro Robo Mk-II, it's difficult for me to decide whether I like the design of the robot or not. It's just too weird. ^^; However, I do like the outcome of the orange paint work on the backpack parts from Parts 13 and 14. ^^ The painted parts match the molded color of the kit very nicely. ^^
Interestingly, I realize that the robots seem to be losing more and more of their humanoid features gradually after Keroro Robo Mk-II. ^^ Tamama Robo Mk-II lost its normal hand units to a pair of ice-cream and lollipop; Giroro Robo Mk-II has machine cannons and tank threads as its arms and legs respectively; Come to Kururu Robo Mk-II, I have no idea what its limbs are supposed to be. XD
Another interesting feature of Kururu Robo Mk-II that can be seen right away when it's completed is its amazing height. ^^ It's taller than the rest of the gang, and even most average High Grade 1/144 scale Gunplas. ^^ For the robot itself, its height isn't particularly surprising - since the robot design is already so weird to begin with, ^^; but it does give an indication of how tall God Keron is going to be when all the robots combine, and that's really very exciting to think about. ^^ Kururu Robo Mk-II's legs will need to be retracted and stored beneath its body for the combined mode, and the radar's connecting arm will need to be lowered to form God Keron's hips as well. However, even with its height reduced to a certain degree in that combined mode, it's still a pretty tall kit. ^^ That impressive height alone makes me looking forward to completing Dororo Robo Mk-II as soon as possible to get to God Keron. ^^
Kururu Robo Mk-II's transformation design coming up next. ^^
