More images of Transformers Prime's Deluxe Class Starscream after the previous posting. ^^
Closeups on the details:
[Head]
[Body]
[Backpack and wings]
[Arms]
[Legs]
Spotted a bit of color differences between the actual figure and the cartoon character design:
The little crest on the forearm is not painted, most probably due to the fin's material. It would be difficult to get a shade of paint to stay on soft plastic fin I suppose. ^^;
The neck area is not painted as well it seems.
The red tip on top the wrist is replaced by blue one for some unknown reason. ^^;
The slight color variation is a very minor issue anyway. I just feel like pointing them out for the sake of pointing them out. XD But overall, this is a very nice-looking figure of Starscream from the cartoon series. He's tall and very thin, evidenced by his long arms and slim legs. However, that face sculpt featuring an evil smirk and a somewhat hunched body thanks to the chest piece's transformation design as shown in the previous posting are my favorite points that show off Starscream's unique character design on this figure. With his long arms and spread palms, I imagine this figure can have some poses to show how much a wuss and a skimmer Starscream is, especially when the body is bent forward even more. ^^
Since the robot mode helps to reveal even more of its details that are hidden in the jet mode, there are certainly tons of mecha details to be seen on Starscream. Most of that can be seen on the backpack though, with the jet mode's spine revealed and folded up as the main thruster, and the wings' bottom face being shown more in robot mode as well. While some areas on the body and arms are missing red paint as pointed out just now, important parts like the eyes and another pair of "eyes" on the chest are indeed painted and are pretty neat-looking nonetheless. ^^
A look at Starscream's articulation design in the next posting. ^^
