Random poses featuring random combination of option parts for Chibi-Arts Boa Hancock after the previous posting. ^^
The right hand unit is changed for that particular bent arm for this pose.
Boa Hancock forgot her sarong before posing for the camera. ^^;
And here's the reward for seeing her without her sarong on. XD
With the normal scale Figuarts Zero version of herself:
Despite adjustable to have the same pose as the Figuarts Zero version, the deformed proportion design of the eyes is unmistakable. ^^ For that, this figure is definitely a very good representation of a cute and adorable side of a supposedly elegant, almost untouchable character. ^^ All the different parts included to allow her to be shown in a variety of poses as shown in the previous posting and this one definitely support Boa's cute and even funny character image. ^^ I think it would be hilarious to have this Chibi-Art figure adjusted with a funny pose and standing next to a larger fixed scale figurine that is designed to show off her elegance. ^^
Then again, with the risk of exposing all the figure's flaws in paint work and quality control in plain sight, maybe that's not a good idea after all. ^^;
It's kind of funny (in a disappointing way ^^;) that the last two action figures from Tamashii Nations reviewed on this blog, Super Robot Chogokin Alteisen and Weissritter are of such high quality I would consider them as the best collectibles introduced so far in 2013. On the flip side, this Chibi-Arts figure would be sitting bottom on that list, despite my enormous liking of the character herself. ^^; I really like Boa Hancock, but I cannot force myself to like the poor detailing of this figure by sidelining it in this review because of that personal liking. ^^;
Hopefully whatever comes next from Tamashii Nations on this blog would be much better. ^^
Comparison with a Nendoroid figure to find out the differences between the two deformed character figure series. ^^
With Nendoroid Saber Lily.
An overall chubbier, shorter, "more deformed" proportion treatment for Saber Lily it seems.
Thanks to her slightly taller display base, Saber Lily appears to be of the same height as Boa Hancock.
On a separate note, Saber Lily looks like she's about to murder Boa Hancock in the image above. XD
The total different connector design tells you (very loudly) to forget any attempt the swap face parts on figures across the two series. ^^;
Not even the simple peg joint of the hand units is of compatible size between the two series. ^^;
Hoping for Easter Egg feature between Chibi-Arts and Nendoroid? ^^; There's none that I can find so far on this figure. The two series were never meant to be compatible in the first place, so it's just normal that the connection is not there at all.
