Transformers Prime Cyberverse Commander Class Optimus Prime Part 5 [Final]

Not too bad at all

This final posting for "Transformers: Prime" Cyberverse Commander Class Optimus Prime starts off with a couple more action poses featuring the Autobot boss. ^^

With support using Soul Stage Act 3 Action Support Clear Type.

Using the cardboard display platform from the "First Edition" Voyager Class version:

The display platform is still too big for this Commander Class figure it seems. ^^; The look would be more balanced if two figures from this series are placed on top of the platform I think. ^^

Comparison with Legion Class Arcee:

Vehicle mode.

Robot mode.

As compared to their vehicle mode comparison, the scale issue is a little better in robot mode. ^^ Arcee is evidently much shorter and smaller than Optimus Prime, but that scaling is still not accurate to their representation in the TV series. ^^; Supposedly, Arcee's head height is just slightly above Optimus Prime's knee, and for being a motorcycle, she is a lot skinnier as well.

Image is from TFW2005.

Then again, accurate scale has never been a major deciding factor in Transformers action figure design I suppose. ^^;

Arcee can obviously hold Optimus Prime's blasters in her two modes, even though they are too huge to look suitable for her. ^^;

Closeups on the details:

Not as awesomely muscular-looking as the "First Edition" Voyager Class version, ^^; there are however certain design features on this Commander Class version that follow that look. Apart from the more obvious components like the head and chest, the rear wheels on the side of the legs, waist, thighs and shoulder armors establish close connection to the Voyager Class figure despite the overall much simpler transformation design, and that helps to relate it to the actual design of Optimus Prime from the TV series. As mentioned earlier, it's not an accurate or very impressive representation, but a pretty decent one that works well I think.

Still, for reasons already stated in Part 3, I prefer to display Commander Class Optimus Prime in vehicle mode. ^^
