Nendoroid Petit Racing Miku Set 2011 Ver. Part 2

Kagamine Rin & prize podium

A look at one of the three figures from Nendoroid Petit Racing Miku Set 2011 Ver. after the introduction yesterday. ^^

Randomly selected out of the three, Kagamine Rin (鏡音リン) will start off the review. ^^

The figure, her designated option part, and the display base parts.

A few plastic wrappers were removed from the figure.

The display base parts and a trophy.

A tiny trophy with the text "Goodsmile" tampo printed on its front face.

Size comparison between the trophy and a 10-cent coin.

As seen in the images above, the trophy has a short peg beneath its base, which can be connected to a slot on Rin's right palm for the figure to be posed with the trophy securely.

A simple pair of parts to form the standard Nendoroid Petit display base for Rin.

Copyright information molded beneath the base.

The completed display base.

The ball-type joint of the stand plugs into a slot on the back of Rin to secure the connection.

A Nendoroid figure she is, the detailing is amazingly crisp and clean. ^^ Besides the yellow gradient paint work as seen on her hair, I really like the nice paint work and detailing of her Race Queen costume. ^^ All the different patches of colors are painted so accurately no paint spill is present. If you look closely, the dress features a section of silver grid pattern on the abdomen, which is subtle but definitely precise in appearance. The super-minute details kind-of makes the Good Smile Racing emblem on her chest looks like child play. ^^

On a separate note, with her joyous smile, this is a very cheerful-looking figure. ^^ While the figure herself can serve as a nice display item on your desktop, but since her eyes are closed, it's a somewhat generic happy expression that can be swapped onto other Nendoroid Petit figures to give those characters a raise in their spirits. ^^

Rin has the same set of simple articulation points as other figures from the same product series:

The head is movable via ball-type neck joint, while the arms are on simple swivel joint at shoulder level.

As mentioned above, the head can be separated for the face part to be swapped out.
Rin herself doesn't come with any alternate face part though.

Swivel joints for the waist and legs.

Comparison with Nendoroid Cattleya:

Being a fellow Nendoroid Petit figure, Rana would be a more suitable figure to be compared with Rin no doubt. ^^

Besides being a large, clean, very rigidly-shaped option part, there's really not much I can say about the podium. ^^ The design is clean, and simple, almost excessively so. ^^

Each platform has enough space for the figure to be displayed on top of it without needing the display base to be detached. ^^

However, each platform is designed with a slot for the stand to connect to.

Rin standing on the prize podium. ^^

Following the box images, Rin is designated to be standing on the first runner-up's position. ^^

With the ability to hold the figures with their display stands, the prize podium is pretty much the combined display base to hold all three figure together. ^^

Will be reviewing another figure and the race car from this Nendoroid Petit set some other time. ^^

Its always that love and hate feeling of having clear parts. They look really awesome but tends to get yellow quickly with time.
