All action from MS Gundam Assault Kingdom 2's Unicorn Gundam [Destroy Mode] after the previous posting. ^^
A shokugan figure that's also an action figure, or an action figure that happens to be of shokugan figure in terms of size and overall detailing? ^^ Just from the action poses, I would lean towards the latter. Even without its full list of weapons and weapon gimmicks, the figure is capable of performing some of the best action poses for the Gundam. ^^
Then again, the simple ball-swivel combinational joints used for the shoulders and hips as introduced in the previous posting are beginning to feel loose after repeated play, especially the hips. ^^; It's not too serious a problem at the moment, but that fragility pushes my perception about the figure back to my expectation in the beginning. It's great for action poses, but it was designed for simplicity and with simplicity as well. It's still a shokugan figure, but definitely a fun one at that. ^^
Comparison with HGUC Unicorn Gundam [Destroy Mode]:
Closeups on the details:
Despite the lack of paint work for most of the components, the overall design and major details are consistent between the two Unicorn Gundams. ^^
Comparison with Gouf Custom from the HCM-Pro series:
At 1/200 scale, Gouf Custom is visibly taller than Unicorn Gundam [Destroy Mode], which is obviously not accurate to the MSs' settings. With that in mind, I suppose the scale of the figure, and perhaps the entire MS Gundam Assault Kingdom series is around 1/220 or 1/230. ^^
Just for the fun of it, a comparison with another Gundam gashapon figure that is of completely different nature: Lacus Clyne from MS Gundam Seed Heroines 9: ^^
No comparison at all, obviously. XD
Will be reviewing the second figure from the set, Gundam Mk-II in the future. ^^
