HG 1/144 Tieren Taozi Part 2

Part 2 and done

Continuing the work on HG 1/144 Tieren Taozi after the previous posting. ^^

Simple panel lining for the smooth-bore gun's body parts.

The round caps of the smooth-bore gun's magazine are painted using Gundam Marker White.

Tamiya's Panel Line Accent Color (Black) is used to simplify the panel lining work for the arm and shoulder armor parts.

The joint area inside the thigh parts and interior of the elbow and knuckle armors are going to be painted black.

(Left) Gaia Color 022 Semi Gloss Black is used for the work on the thigh parts.
(Right) The interior of the elbow and knuckle armors are painted just by using the panel liner.

Edges inside the spots to hold the round "caps" are painted black to make sure no pink spot is exposed when the parts are assembled.

Test fitting the painted parts to see how the thigh's interior would look like when assembled.

Simple panel lining for the other leg parts.

Repetition of the "preventive" (^^) black paint work for the knee and calf component

Repetition of panel lining work for the parts of the other leg.

Simple panel lining for the arm parts.

Cleaned off excessive panel liner paint from the shoulder shield parts.

Panel lining done for all the shoulder shield parts. ^^

Simple panel lining for the body parts.

(Left) The border between the front and rear body parts is painted black using normal black marker to highlight the gap. The neck area is painted black to give it an extra sense of depth when the head parts are attached later on.
(Right) Learning from my mistake after assembling Sergei's Customized Tieren Taozi, I'm not going to put in the special detailing work for the cockpit sensors this time as they are going to be completely concealed on the completed model anyway. ^^;

Panel lined the two helmet parts.

Repetition of the camera eye parts' paint work from Sergei's Customized Tieren Taozi. The colors and paints used are: gray, white - Gundam Markers, black - normal marker and normal panel liner, fluorescent pink - Gundam Marker.

All done for Tieren Taozi. ^^ Most of the work is just repetition of what I did for Sergei's Customized Tieren Taozi. Prior experience working on Ground Type Tieren and the Space Commander Type also serves as very helpful guide on how to go about with the detailing of certain parts. ^^ As a result, everything flowed very well and the entire work is completed very easier without too much "decision-pondering" moments like what I experienced when working on BB Senshi Zeta Gundam and Nu Gundam Set last month. ^^;

As usual, there'll be a bit of offset time between now and when I revisit all the parts again for the final assembly. ^^
