Continuing with the work on Master Grade Sinanju Ver. Ka after the the previous posting. ^^
Many of the parts have already went through two rounds of paint work in the previous posting. Two more colors are going to be added for some of them. ^^
Parts with areas identified to be painted in metallic black:
(Left) The vents on the inner frame parts of the chest, and the pipe exposed above the beam rifle's barrel.
(Right) Given its shape, I felt awfully tempted to just paint the pipe in gold, and silver like the calf hydraulic pipes that were painted so in the previous posting, but since those two colors are going to be very outstanding on an otherwise single-colored beam rifle, I decided to give it a less "bombastic" color instead. ^^
(Left) The protruding area on each of the forearm inner frame parts (formerly called the brachioradialis according to human anatomy ^^).
(Right) The large round cap on the wing binder inner frame parts.
(Left) The large fixed piston-like structure on the rear skirt armor frame parts.
(Right) The bar-like structure on each of the knee joint parts.
All the parts are painted using Gaia Metallic Color No. 020 Gun Metal.
Closeups on the painted parts.
For the knee joint parts, even the tight corners between the targeted bar and the frame above it are painted.
Other parts not shown earlier on that are also painted include the stepped area on top the two rear skirt armor parts, and areas with vent-like details on the rear inner frame part of the body.
The next color to be added to some of the parts is red, mainly for the thrusters' openings. It's of no surprise then that all the parts selected for this round of paint work are parts that are going to hold the different thruster nozzles handled in Part 8. ^^
The ball-type joints on these parts are going to be painted red.
The vents on the rear skirt armor frame parts are being targeted as well.
Painted all the parts using Gaia Color No. 003 Bright Red Gloss.
The middle ball-type joint of the leg's side binder inner frame part requires no paint work actually, since the entire joint is going to be concealed by its thruster nozzle.
The openings for the two aforementioned binder joints are on their corresponding thruster nozzles instead, which are painted in the same color. ^^
To reveal the line details on the rear skirt armors' fixed pistons, which are now in black, Tamiya's Panel Line Accent Color (Gray) is used on the parts.
Excessive panel liner paint on the pistons is wiped away using cotton swab soaked with enamel thinner, excessive red paint on the vents is scratched away using a knife, and additional panel lines are added using normal panel liner to complete the detailing on (just) the front side of the two rear skirt armor parts. ^^
The other thruster parts are panel lined using a combination of normal panel liner, and Tamiya's Panel Line Accent Color (Black)
Moving on to fewer parts that require more delicate detailing in the next posting. ^^
