Super Robot Chogokin Alteisen Part 2

Stranding still just like that is already enough

More images of Super Robot Chogokin Alteisen after the introduction of Weissritter from the same series in the previous posting. ^^

The die-cast parts on this figure can be found in the following components:

Shoulder joints

Revolving Stake

Hip joints

Foot joints

The entire calf area - die-case part that is painted in red

The first impression that strikes me about Super Robot Chogokin Alteisen when it's removed from the box is its weight that seems to be disproportionate to its size. ^^ For a medium-sized figure (about 14cm tall), it's quite a heavy figure. ^^ Most of the weight can be attributed to the calf area, which seems to be made entirely of die-cast material and then painted in red - you can spot the different shades of red between the calf and knee very easily. The heaviness of the figure certainly suits Alteisen's mecha image as a heavy assault unit very well, and it feels absolutely fantastic to hold too. ^^

Besides handling, the detailing on this figure is quite amazing as well. Due to its small size, most components are obviously made as single parts then painted with their intended colors. Such production treatment allows one to really scrutinize on how well all the details are handled, and I must say, they look gorgeous. ^^ The mask, vents on both sides of the helmet, chest vents, shoulder vents, bolts-like details on the shoulder and knee, and tons of other parts are all very nicely painted. ^^ All the up-close views on the figure reveal most of its details, and the fact that all the details are on a medium-sized figure makes it seems very more impressive. ^^

All thrusters are painted very nicely in gun metal/gray with metallic coat for their exterior and orangish yellow for the interior. As someone who just love such paint details on his model kits, this figure is already a winner. ^^

Because Alteisen doesn't feature any handheld weapon, or special attachments that would required them to be stored separately in the package, a straight out-of-box Alteisen is all ready for display. ^^ But for display is obviously not the only thing Super Robot Chogokin Alteisen can do, as articulation and weapon gimmick with effect parts are huge selling points of the figure as well. Before showing those features, it's time to return to Weissritter next. ^^
