Small-scaled realistic look

Closeups on the details behind the figure:

For its amazing paint work, and great attention to minor details, this is a very beautiful figure. ^^ While Kiba's different colors are been accurately painted on all the components, there seems to be a layer of coating applied to the figure, which gives it a very cohesive look. It's a very unique look in my opinion. Even though the metallic nature of the paint work can be seen clearly, the gold and silver details don't shine as much as they would on other figures with details of the same colors. They can be seen clearly, but not shinily so. As a result, the figure has a deceptively realistic look to it, which I like very much. ^^

There are also plenty of great details to be observed on this figure. ^^ However small, and deeply placed on the helmet, the red eyes of Kiba are unmistakable, so are his set of golden fangs, tiny skull on the chest, silver lines on the upper arms, belt details, and other minor details. Since it's from the Kiwami Damashii line, the small size of Kiba is obvious, but the same level of details seem like they would work if the figure is made bigger. ^^ In a way, I think that size "transition" is true for the Makai Kadou version of Kiba. ^^ It's definitely bigger - 18cm tall to be exact, with crisper detailing, and better color separation, but the proportion design seems very similar between the two, and I don't see any major detail that is lost between the two figure versions as well. ^^ For its small size, that comparison works well in reflecting the great craftsmanship of this Garo Kiwami Damashii figure. ^^

Some action poses from Garo coming up in the next posting. ^^
