BB Senshi Sangokuden Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam Part 4

Making things harder on purpose

Continuing with the work on BB Senshi Sangokuden Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam after after the previous posting. ^^

The backpack's colors are not shown clearly on the box side images, so I suppose it's up to my interpretation then. ^^
Since it looks so much like Nu Gundam's backpack, I'll use my paints to enforce that relationship then. ^^

(Left) Painted the tab (which was used to store the large beam saber on the actual Nu Gundam) and the four thrusters' interior using Gaia Metallic Color No. 122 Star Bright Gold.
(Right) With excessive paint scratched away using a knife.

(Left) The small bars are painted white using Gundam Marker.
(Right) Unfortunately, the targeted areas are just too small even for sharpened toothpick to be used as paint brush, resulting in a rather messy spill over of white paint. ^^;

The excessive paint is not exactly a big issue, as it can be scratched away fairly easily using toothpick once the paint has dried.
This is the completed backpack part with panel lines added.

All of Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam's body parts.

Same old same old treatment for the character's name on the sole.
Like Kibutei Sousou Gundam, the names are painted gold to highlight Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam's renewed power. ^^

The tiny stripes surrounding the white feet parts are perhaps the greatest challenge of this kit so far. The parts are already very small, but the stripes are even smaller. ^^;

Panel lined the parts to identify the boundaries before proceeding with painting the stripes using toothpick with paint from Gundam Marker Gold.

(Left) All the edges of the stripes are painted.
(Right) With panel lines reapplied to the parts, the paint work on the two parts is done. ^^

(Left) The small sunken areas in front of the feet are also painted using Gundam Marker Gold.
(Right) Test fitting the parts to have a preview of how the completed component would look like. ^^

Not shown on the box side image, the vents/thrusters on the two leg parts are painted gold using Gundam Marker.

(Left) With excessive paint scratched away using a knife.
(Right) With panel lines added.

All of the leg parts.

The two vents on the shoulder armors are painted in the same way as the panels behind the Nu Gundam-type Fin Funnels shown in the previous posting.

(Left) Just panel lining for the shoulder shields.
(Right) The black jagged bars on the top face will be realized using foil stickers, but there's a bit of elevation at the edges that won't be covered by the stickers that must be painted.

(Left) Both shields are panel lined.
(Right) The elevated areas mentioned just now are painted black using normal marker.

Done for all the arms' parts.

(Left) Just panel lining for the two large wing parts extending from the backpack, which are clearly designed after Hi-Nu Gundam's long fuel tanks. ^^
(Right) Two protruding pieces and rings near the joints must be painted.

As shown on the box side image - even clearer on the box art, the two said protruding pieces and rings should be painted gold.

Since they are not that large in size and are on flat surfaces, the targeted areas are painted using Gundam Marker instead.

With this batch of work done, only the head and helmet parts remain now. ^^
