BB Senshi Sangokuden Kibutei Sousou Gundam, Joko Serpent, Sohi Gundam Set Part 4

The emperor's missing body color

Back to the work on the bundled set of BB Senshi Sangokuden Kibutei Sousou Gundam, Joko Serpent and Sohi Gundam this time. ^^

All business with the feet of all three kits first XD

The usual treatment for the name of the character molded on the sole. ^^
This is Joko Serpent.

Sohi Gundam.

Sousou Gundam.
Gold (from Gundam Marker) is painted for the name since he's the boss. XD His son and employee only get to have gray paint for their names. ^^;

While Sousou Gundam's feet armor are just treated with simple panel lines on the shown completed model, some extra colors can be added to enhance the parts' appearance. ^^

The hydraulic pipes are painted using normal gold and silver pens, while the vents are painted with Gundam Marker Metallic Red.
Finally, some gold and silver hydraulic pipes on Gunplas after so long, even though they are so puny. XD

With excessive paint scratched away and panel lines added.

The gear patterns on Sousou Gundam's collars will have to be hand painted.

Painted using Gaia Color 124 Star Bright Brass.

Excessive gold paint is swiped away using cotton swap and thinner. Panel lines are added after that.

Despite being the more outstanding colors, gold and red (maroon to be exact) are completed missing on Sousou Gundam's body! ^^;
While I don't have any bottle paint of the color maroon, I do have a substitute that would be perfect to match the shininess of the kit's red parts. ^^

Painted the vents and chest area using Gaia Color 124 Star Bright Brass.

No special details on the back that need to be painted.

Painted the body using Mr. Color No. 158 Super Italian Red Gloss.
The glossiness of this paint makes it completely worthy as the emperor's body color. ^^

All sides of the targeted body area are ensured to be covered in red paint.

With panel lines added when the paint has dried.
The red paint is supposedly for the top portion of the body parts only according to the box side image, but I lost track halfway through painting them and painted the whole upper body in that color instead. ^^;

Pin vise is used to realize the Vulcan pair on the waist.

Like the body component, the skirt armor parts of Sousou Gundam is missing a lot of colors as well. ^^;

Painted the two parts using Gaia Color 124 Star Bright Brass and Mr. Hobby's Mr. Metallic Color Silver.
As the tight curves don't even permit cotton swap to clean off excessive paint (else all the paint will be gone), toothpick is used to scratch off the paint instead. Even that must be done with slow pace and caution to avoid damaging the glossy molded color. ^^;

With panel lines added.

Test fitting the painted parts to see how the components would turn out when assembled. ^^
The middle segment of the front skirt armor should be painted black, but I'll leave that area to a piece of foil sticker given to realize when I assemble the whole model in the future. ^^

The interior of the skirt armors is painted using Gaia Color 022 Semi Gloss Black to give the whole part an extra sense of depth. ^^

Most of the work done this time are for Sousou Gundam's parts it seems. ^^

Will be returning to HG 1/144 Sergei's Tieren Taozi next before continuing with more work on this BB Senshi Sangokuden bundled set. ^^
