BB Senshi Sangokuden Choko Zaku III Part 2

BB Senshi fatigue

Starting to work on BB Senshi Sangokuden Choko Zaku III, focusing on a few parts with wide area that has to be painted in gold first.

Parts to be painted: feet, blades, helmet and horn.

Panel-lined the edges between areas to be painted and where the original color would stay first. The handles on the blades are not going to be painted as the paint would most likely be rubbed off by the kit in the end.

Color used is Mr. Metal Color 219 Brass.

Result

The chest with hard to reach edges between the left and right "blocks" is hand painted as well, since it's much easier to maneuver paint brush to reach into those valleys.

The shoulder shield is hand painted as well.
Not too satisfied with this temporary result - some of the "boxes" have very obvious "layered effect" that seems really horrible. Will reapply the paint when the current layer has dried.

Spent quite a bit of time on the shoulder shield alone, but the result didn't turn out as well as I hoped for actually. The area is a bit too large for Gundam Marker I think, and the "layered effect" would be more than likely to happen with that. Still, I got that with hand painting as well. ^^; Will repaint later to minimize the bad result.

Also, I noticed a mistake made on the chest after painted it. It should be gold emblem on red background, not the other way round when I painted it ^^; So, that portion of the chest must be redone as well. ^^;

Fatigue after such a long absence from BB Senshi Sangokuden kits maybe? ^^;

A drop or 2 of leveling thinner could eliminate the layering effect ar bro.

Always painted my Sangokuden kit as well, so least I knew some tricks about it.
