HG 1/144 Genoace Custom Part 3

A monotone laundry list

Continuing with the work on HG 1/144 Genoace Custom after the previous posting. ^^ Paint work on certain parts for the main model and cleaning up on the panel lining work did in Part 1 are the main focus this time. ^^

Parts that need to be painted include the hip area, ...

... interior of the backpack, ...

... thruster area on the sole, and ...

... ankle area.

Painted all the targeted area gray using Tamiya Color Acrylic Paint Mini XF-53 Neutral Grey.

Excessive paint on the parts is scratched away using a sharpened toothpick.
Panel lines are added when the paint has dried.

Just in case certain corners inside the ankle area may be exposed when the joint is turned, or when the foot is viewed from certain angle, the top side of the feet parts is painted gray.

Test fitting the painted parts to see how the ankle area would turn out when assembled.
No more sneaky white spot to ruin the picture now I suppose. XD

The rectangular vents near the tips are painted black using normal marker.

Small rectangular areas behind the forearms are shown to be painted in the manual. They seem to be in black like all the vents on the kit, but I don't see the relevance of having vents on that component of the MS. ^^;

Instead of black, I painted the targeted areas gray using Gundam Marker instead, to show that they might be exposed mecha component from beneath the arms' armor parts.

Tiny sunken stripes at the bottom edge of the hand armor parts are painted gray using Gundam Marker.

Excessive panel lining paint from Part 1 for the arm parts is cleaned using cotton swab soaked with enamel thinner.
New panel lines for certain areas are added using Gundam Marker GM02 Gray with fine tip, and normal panel liner for the sole gray part.

Two large vents behind the waist are painted black using normal sharp-tipped marker.

Panel lining for the waist and skirt armor parts.

The large vent below the knee is painted black using normal marker as well.

Very simple-looking molded line details inside the knee area are panel lined using fine-tipped Gundam Marker.

Normal panel lining for the other leg parts.

Repetition of the panel lining and minor paint work on parts for the other leg.

Panel lining for the body parts.

Much like the hip area painted earlier on, the shoulder joint area on the rear body part is painted gray as well, but Gundam Marker is used instead for simplicity.

Normal panel lining for the body parts.

Edges of the rear sensor is painted black to give it a more solid and noticable silhouette when the sticker is applied later on.

With that, the work on HG 1/144 Genoace Custom is done. ^^ Except for a few of the weapon parts that require special mixed paint and care in painting as shown in the previous posting, the work is pretty simple overall. The experience gained from the detailing work on HGUC Unicorn Gundam [Unicorn Mode] and [Destroy Mode] proved to be very helpful in the work on this kit due to the almost identical color scheme. ^^ I don't need to consider much when dealing with the white and black parts. All I did do was to rethink what I managed similar parts on the two Unicorn Gundam kits and reapplied the same technique on Genoace Custom. ^^

As usual, there'll be a bit of offset time between now and when I revisit all the parts again for the final assembly. ^^
