Kotobukiya's MSG MW-28 Impact Edge Part 3

More Gun Metal and silver action

Finishing up with the work on Kotobukiya's M.S.G. Weapon Unit MW-28 Impact Edge after the previous posting. ^^

Result of the putty work on the lever part from the previous posting.

(Left) Temporary result after two or three rounds of sanding away excessive putty on the lever part.
(Right) The final result. ^^

(Left) Painted the pipes silver using Gaia Metallic Color No. 9 Bright Silver.
(Right) The rest of the lever part is painted using Gaia Metallic Color No. 020 Gun Metal.

All done with the lever part after two posting worth of work. ^^;

Just simple panel lining for all the other parts.

The four claws will require the most intensive paint work for this weapon set. ^^

The body is painted first using Gaia Metallic Color No. 020 Gun Metal.

By utilizing the marker's flat tip, the spine, grind and tip are painted using Tamiya Paint Marker X-11 Chrome Silver.

Excessive silver paint on the spine is covered up by painting more Gun Metal over it, very carefully using a fine tip paint brush.

The two small protruding points at the base of each claw are painted using Pilot Super Color Silver Extra Fine.

Excessive silver paint spilled into the frontal serrations is covered up using more Gun Metal paint as well.

All done for the four claw parts. ^^

All the parts are stored in a paper box to give the paint more time to dry off.
The claws and nail get their dedicated boxes so that the paint work on them won't be rubbed off by other parts. ^^

All done for the work on this weapon unit set. ^^ Will move on to something else after this before returning in the near future to complete this model kit. ^^
