Kind of like echoing the work done for the shoulder armors and arms of MG Force Impulse Gundam previously, where smaller parts such as the shoulder armors and elbow joints have quite a bit of paint job applied, while large armor and inner frame parts only have panel lines applied to them, the same kind of irony can be found on the continuation on MG Gundam Mk. II Ver. 2.0's work as well. ^^
Focusing on the backpack and display base this time.
(Left) Painted the interior of the thrusters red using Mr. Color No. 158 Super Italian Red Gloss.
(Right) With excessive paint on the mouth of the thrusters scratched away.
Panel lining for the line details outside the thrusters.
(Left) Comparison between the pair that are yet to be panel lined and the ones that are already done. My black lines are blacker than the blackness of the parts. XD
(Right) With all four thruster parts done.
Done for the thrusters.
Just panel lining for all the other backpack parts.
The more delicate details on the thrusters' connector parts are done via black paint with thinner method.
I managed to get the right paint and thinner combo this time for the right tone of black that I like for the lines. ^^
Tons of details for the backpack parts, which are all replication of its Perfect Grade counterpart. Very cool, almost overly details, but very nice to look at nonetheless.
Just panel lining for the two simple-looking beam saber handles.
Huge display platform, just panel lining for the details. ^^
The same simplistic treatment for the other display base parts. ^^
Quite an experience working on the display base parts actually. Except a few smaller ones, most of the parts have long and straight line details that allow my panel liner to go through them, with a swoosh. ^^ I have to say, that's something I've not experienced in quite a long time, having to work on so many small parts with fine details from say MG Johnny Ridden's Customized High Mobility Type Zaku II Ver. 2.0 and MG Force Impulse Gundam. I like those details alright, but a change in workflow is very welcomed nonetheless. ^^
Going for the weapons next. ^^
