Gashapon MS Gundam Seed Destiny Heroines 3 Part 4

Stella Loussier (Part 1)

Taking a bit of time off from the review on BB Senshi Sangokuden Tenshouryu Koumei Nu Gundam to slip in another dose of "Gundam SEED Destiny" gashapon goodness after MS Gundam Seed Destiny EF Collection 3: Lacus Clyne last Saturday. ^^

The fourth figurine from MS Gundam Seed Destiny Heroines 3 gashapon set - Stella Loussier. ^^

Stella can be considered as one of three "special" types in this gashapon set, with the other two being Lacus and Cagalli. The latter two are special because they are designed to be in lying position. Stella on the other hand, is the only one that comes with option part to change her display form. No "s" for part there, because there's only one, and that qualifies as a pleasant surprise too I guess, as the option part changes the entire torso of the figurine. Just one option part accomplishing a huge change in form is my point there. Even though subsequent sets from the MS Gundam Seed Destiny Heroines series come with one or two option parts for each figurine in the set, I still find the design for Stella's option part pretty amazing.

Then again, looking at the bigger picture, just one out of five figurines in the set having one option part included doesn't sound great at all. ^^;

This posting will focus on Stella's "default" form. ^^

A little bit of assembly is required, as the figurine is separated into a few parts.
You can see the single option part there.

Closeups on the details: ^^

Like Flay and Lunamaria, the head can be turned to the sides to adjust Stella's viewpoints for a little bit of change in angle of display.

I like the design of Stella in this gashapon format. ^^ She's certainly a lot more colorful than Lacus. XD One awesome feature that is consistent with this entire gashapon series is the matching color scheme on the figurines with their character design as depicted in the anime. For Stella, her white-dark magenta military uniform, powder blue mini skirt and white long boots are just spoton. ^^

The face sculpt and detailing are very nicely done as well, especially her hair, which again is very accurate to the character's depiction in the show. I can't comment much on her face design, because I don't particularly care about the character in the show to really remember how she looked like exactly. ^^; Somehow my mind tells me that she might be looking just a bit different from Kira, Athrun, Cagalli, Lacus and even Shin, so it's not very important to remember the exact details anyway. XD

Also, much like Lacus's pose, I have no idea what that looking-forward-with-the-right-hand-raised pose on Stella is supposed to mean. ^^; From certain angles, it would seem like she's looking directly at her right palm, which wouldn't make any sense as well. ^^;

Displayed with her first Gundam from the anime - Gaia Gundam in High Grade 1/144 scale format.

A look at Stella in her alternate display form in the next posting. ^^
