BB Senshi Sangokuden Kibutei Sousou Gundam, Joko Serpent, Sohi Gundam Set Part 5

The general's missing helmet color

Done with HG 1/144 Sergei's Tieren Taozi, it's time to resume working on the bundled set of BB Senshi Sangokuden Kibutei Sousou Gundam, Joko Serpent and Sohi Gundam. ^^

Just like Sousou Gundam's body part shown in Part 4, Joko Serpent's helmet parts are missing all the golden stripes. Worse, not a single foil sticker is given for these two parts. ^^;

References for Joko Serpent's helmet color from the box side image is just as sketchy as the Sousou Gundam's body color. ^^;

Painted the entire front opening segment gold using Gaia Color 124 Star Bright Brass. A bit of curves on the rear part is painted with the same color as well.

When the paint has dried, two tabs at the bottom of the helmet are painted with Gundam Marker Black.

With excessive black paint around the tabs swiped away using cotton swap with thinner, and panel lines added for the entire part.

The front portion of Joko Serpent's feet are painted using Mr. Hobby's Mr. Metallic Color Silver.

Besides panel lining, two straps (?) behind the cape parts are painted black using Gundam Marker.

Just panel lining for Sohi Gundam's arm parts.

Many colors are missing for Sohi Gundam's skirt armor parts as well, and the box side image is not very helpful as painting guide as just the front view of the armor shown. ^^;

Foil stickers are given for the two armor parts, which can be used as hints to what color to be painted for some of the areas. ^^

Looking at how dark the color of the red foil stickers for the stripes are, the parts are painted with Gundam Marker Red instead of Metallic Red.

Referencing the semi-black portion on the front skirt armors' stickers, the large sunken "background" area on the rear skirt armor is painted black with Gundam Marker.
The two large curve patterns will be realized using foil stickers later on so the excessive black paint on the parts is not cleaned off at all.

The interior of the skirt armors is painted using Gaia Color 022 Semi Gloss Black to give the whole part an extra sense of depth. ^^

Despite not of royalty, Joko Serpent's skirt armor design seems a lot more complicated than that on Sousou Gundam and Sohi Gundam. ^^

Luckily, the paint reference on the box image for this component is more sufficient than that on Sousou Gundam and Sohi Gundam. ^^;

Painted all the stripes gold using Gaia Color 124 Star Bright Brass.

With panel lines added to the parts.
The waist segment of the front skirt armor is painted black using Gundam Marker.

As with Sousou Gundam's and Sohi Gundam's skirt armor, the interior is painted using Gaia Color 022 Semi Gloss Black to give the whole part an extra sense of depth. ^^

The large jewel on the front skirt armor is painted using Gundam Marker GM15 Fluorescent Green.

The waist area and segments on Joko Serpent's body parts are painted black using Gundam Marker.

Everything went extremely well in this batch of work for this BB Senshi Sangokuden bundled set. ^^ Joko Serpent's skirt armor parts may seem pretty complicated in its pattern design and amount of paint work required, but it was not too hard at all. ^^ The work was definitely a lot less tiresome as compared to that for Itenken and Seihouken shown in Part 3. ^^;

Only body parts of Sohi Gundam and head parts of the three characters now remain on the to-do list. ^^
