Continuing with the work on BB Senshi Sangokuden Chouryou Gelgoog. ^^
Didn't notice them at first actually (hence the unnecessary panel lines ^^;), the base of the two ribbon parts are painted gold using Gundam Marker.
The entire base color of the arms will need to be covered up to follow the color scheme of the character as shown on the box art.
Painted the arms gold (using Gundam Marker) first, followed by black (using Mr. Color GX 2 Ueno Black Gloss).
Simple panel lining for the shield parts.
The painted chest armor part from Part 2.
A bit of variation for the neck area's color spotted between the box art illustration and image of the completed kit on the side of the box.
I'll just keep to the current painted color of gold for that area, just to save myself from the extra paint work. ^^
Panel lining for the chest armor's details.
Painted the eagle and another two spots red using Gundam Marker.
Panel lined and painted the wing motif on the front skirt armor.
Chouryou Gelgoog's body armor parts with very elaborate and stylish details. ^^
Painted the molded name on the forehead gold using Gundam Marker. ^^
As usual, the last bit of painting on the head marks the end of the work for this BB Senshi Sangokuden kit. The amount of work required is about the same as Choko Zaku III I would say. While it doesn't feature the same amount of details on many body parts, the crazy paint work needed that seemed to be "concentrated" on Choko Zaku III's shoulder shield is still very fresh in my mind. ^^; The work is certainly more "balanced" for Chouryou Gelgoog, since no particular part is extremely detailed and is difficult to paint at the same time.
Will keep the kit stored for a while before assembling it some time later. ^^
