A few more images featuring 1/100 Gundam Kyrios in action for this final posting on this kit:
The claw shield isn't a prominent weapon of the Gundam, but it's a unique one that is great for display on the model kit. ^^
With 1/100 Gundam Dynames.
Can be displayed as a "transport" unit for Gundam Dyanmes, as seen in one of the episodes of the anime.
The MA mode does have a rather flat top that allows another kit like Gundam Dyanmes to sit on it pretty easily, but on a separate note, I think the strength of my Action Base 1 Celestial Beings Ver.'s joint deserves a lot of credit there for being able to support two model kits in one shot. ^^
With 1/100 Gundam Exia.
Gundam Kyrios is a little taller, and "deceivingly" bigger (as commented in Part 8) than his white and blue comrade. ^^
As an MS design, Gundam Kyrios is perhaps my least favorite one out of the four in Season One of "Gundam Double O". I'm still not pleased with its super large backpack. ^^; Also, the simple transformation and transformed MA mode that only looks good from the top are not impressive either. Its successor in Season Two, Arios Gundam is a much better design in my opinion. It's more balanced proportionately in MS and MA mode.
Then again, this 1/100 scale model kit of Gundam Kyrios is quite fun to put together. There are many large parts to assemble - very enjoyable, ^^ and the details are great. The second point is especially true when comparing this kit with 1/100 scale Arios Gundam, where the feature of having extensive redesigned details is absent. ^^; The highly articulated hip and shoulder joints, originally intended for the model kit's transformation gimmick work brilliantly for richer action poses in Gundam form, which is most certainly a great bonus as compared to 1/100 Gundam Dynames.
The new Gundam series, "Gundam Age" is supposed to premiere in Japan today, and I just concluded the review on a kit from the series two seasons earlier, with plenty more yet to even begin. ^^;
Late as usual XD
