HG 1/144 Exia Part 8 [Final]

The last posting for HG 1/144 Gundam Exia already. ^^

More random action poses after the previous posting.















As mentioned in the previous posting, weapon combo for GN Sword, GN Shield, GN Long and Short Blades plus the lone beam saber is not as extensive as the 1/100 scale version, but there are tons of nice poses that can be adjusted on this HG kit to reflect the strength and agility of this protagonist Gundam. ^^

"Big surprise" XD
Despite coming from two different Gunpla series, the overall design and proportion seem to be identical between the two Gundam Exias. ^^ Having completed both of them right now, it's very obvious to me that their assemblies are completely different - I treat them as totally different kits despite the fact that it's the same Gundam. ^^ With the close gap between the two kits' release dates (FG came out in early September 2007, HG came out a month after that), I imagine both kits were designed based on the same conceptual design by Kanetake Ebikawa, which is why the two looks so similar to each other.

It's a bit different with with its 1/100 scale counterpart though:



Proportion-wise, it's quite obvious that the 1/100 scale version has broader chest, larger shoulder armors and hip, and of course, not to mention all the new line details all over the body of this larger scale version as well. ^^

The Master Grade version that came out some two years after the FG's release has its own interpretation of Gundam Exia's proportion and details too. ^^


With its successor unit, 00 Raiser in HG format.
The review on "another" Gundam Exia is now done, XD but there are still a couple more waiting to come out of the closet. ^^
